All worksheets, textbooks and storybooks are smart. This means they work with our optional BE Reading Pen, which is a tangible phonics tool that helps children sound out words. In addition, storybooks have fun sound effects that play through the BE Reading Pen when touched.

BE Reading Pen

The BE Reading Pen phonics tool is the first of its kind in Hong Kong and is tangible tool children can use to sound out words. The more children use the phonics skill to read, the stronger they are at applying the phonics skill and the more fluent they become at reading. Therefore, this tool increases children's confidence when reading and makes the reading experience 3 dimensional through sound. Storybooks spring to life with fun sound effects, which further engages children's interest and thus promotes reading both at school and home.

Schools can now provide parents who wish to extend learning at home the option of practising/revising at home. We offer parents a support site that contains guides, explanations and written and video tutorials on precisely how to use the BE Reading Pen to practise phonics and reading at home.

 

With the advent of the BE Reading Pen, now even your non-English speaking parents are empowered to access the pure phonics sounds and pronunciations of words, thus ensuring their practice at home aligns with that at school.
