Class Structure

For K1-K3

The English Steps programme runs on a 5-day cycle throughout K1 to K3 twice a week with flexible 25-30 minute classes.

For all days of the cycle, through all 3 years, the lessons will have the same basic breakdown:

Daily Phonics Routine focuses on teaching children synthetic phonics systematically and technically. The objective here is to teach children the skills of reading and writing.

English language focuses more on the practical usage of the English language, integrating the 4 skills of reading writing, listening and speaking. This is the part that runs on a 5-day cycle.
